Classes
Are you a business that needs to learn how to take better day-to-day photos for your social media feed? Do you maybe only have an iPhone and feel lost on how to create good content? With 12 years of experience in photography, I’ve worked with a large range of types of equipment and limitations and figured out the best tips and tricks to make the camera and lighting available work best for you.
A class with me is…
Learning how to use what you have without having to invest more money.
Learning how to pose product or people, work with the lighting in your space, and take better photos.
Learning how to edit well on your iPhone to correct the challenges of color and lighting.
Practicing and learning hands on during the class so everyone feels confident in their new knowledge by end of class.
Class Example: Petalouda Salon

Making the color of hair in their photos accurate
Choosing the best lighting and knowing how to make that lighting work best for them

What did Petalouda’s stylists learn in our class?
Techniques on how to easily pose clients
How to use the camera app well and photograph people better
How to put clients at ease in front of the camera
Different lighting options and the best choice for hair color and editing
Planning ahead on how you want the image to look and how you’ll finish off the edit
How to foresee issues that may arise in the lighting/photography process and how to avoid them
How to edit in the Lightroom app (free version) to make sure hair color is looking accurate—while also learning ways to create more stylistic edits without affecting color.
Before - Both yellow/warm light tones from inside lights combined with blue/cool light tones from window light creating inaccurate color issues in the hair. Framing off-center and awkward.
After - Blue light is corrected. Color tones in hair are even and accurate. Crop feels much better and viewers are really just looking at the hair and no longer as distracted by the background.
